Saturday, 4. March 2023 - Saturday, 4. March 2023

Presentation by Andreas Händel in the “Großer Hörsaal”

Everything worth knowing from 40 years of experience will be conveyed in the lecture, that you can enjoy them in your garden for many years!

Hepatica Gems in the Spring Garden! Once you’ve seen them in the garden, you’ll never want to miss them again! As early as February they push their flowers through the brown leaves of the previous year. Most of them in blue and purple, but also in white, pink, red and multicolored. But you should know a few things, that these forest plants can be enjoyed for many years. In the lecture everything worth knowing is conveyed, from the condition of the soil, the light conditions, the water requirement, fertilization, plant protection and propagation. The lecturer can draw on more than 40 years of experience, as there are thousands of these wonderful plants in his garden, which he loved as a child in the forests of his Thuringian homeland. There are also several pictures of Hepatica but beware they are addictive! In addition, there are a number of pictures of plants that make good neighbors. In this way, you can place these beautiful plants in your beds in a way that suits their location.
