„Flora’s Guests“ – Insect Drawings from Ricarda Blank
Art exhibition in the “Grüner Saal” (Green Room)
An ancient, inextricable bond exists between plants and insects. Their relationships are diverse – while some are mutually beneficial, others are rather one-sided, and not least, involve fraud and deception.
Insects rely on the plant world, which provides them with food, shelter, nesting material, and habitat. Conversely, the vast majority of our planet’s flowering plants depend on pollination by insects, including bees, butterflies, beetles, and others.
The exhibition showcases a glimpse of the colourful and diverse connections between the insect and plant worlds in their coexistence.
