Discounted entry with the Munich Pass

9. September 2022

With the Munich Pass, people with low incomes can receive discounts on local transportation, for numerous social services and leisure activities in the city.

Munich Pass information campaign launched

Around 265,000 of Munich’s 1.58 million residents have incomes that are well below the average. With the Munich Pass, the City of Munich and numerous partners ensure that leisure, education, culture and much more remain affordable. An information campaign on the benefits of the Munich Pass is intended to make the offer more widely known. This is because only 22.6 percent of those who are eligible for the Munich Pass actually use it to date.

Mayor Dieter Reiter, Social Affairs Officer Dorothee Schiwy and Cultural Affairs Officer Anton Biebl jointly presented the Munich Pass information campaign on September 9, 2022.
Eleven posters feature amateur models who use the Munich Pass themselves. The posters will draw attention to the Munich Pass on numerous advertising pillars and billboards until the end of October.
