‘BlütenLust’ (BlossomJoy) – cultural weekend

A cultural weekend full of highlights with music, theatre, crafts and more! Each event is related to the plant world and takes place at a special location in the Botanical Garden.

Sunny, colourful, full of life – with the BlütenLust cultural weekend, the Munich-Nymphenburg Botanical Garden has successfully established a new event format since 2024. The events combine art, music and theatre with the plant world in an inspiring way. Families in particular enjoy the craft activities, puppet theatre and story-telling sessions.

‘We want to offer our guests an unforgettable experience. It is a feast for all the senses that blends beautifully with the diverse botany of the garden.’ Prof. Dr. Gudrun Kadereit, Director of the Botanical Garden Munich-Nymphenburg

This success is due in no small part to the dedicated efforts of the entire team: everyone pitches in, from organising and setting up the venues to looking after the artists and supporting the programme.

Next date: 13th & 14th June 2026

The Festival will take place annually in summer as a highlight of the season. We are already looking forward to the 2026 Culture Weekend on 13 and 14 June!

Many thanks to our supporting association, the Society of Friends of the Munich Botanical Garden, which makes this cultural weekend possible through its financial support.
