Avantgarden
Art installation
Artist Evalie Wagner transposes plants from their systematic order into a sensually immersive installation on view in Winter Hall from July 15 to August 15. Thus, amidst the cultivated nature of the Botanical Garden, a space-consuming plant atlas is created that interweaves the visible with the imagined, illustrating the complexity of attempting to comprehend nature with the mind alone.
Evalie Wagner (born 1983) lives and works in Waizenkirchen and studied at the Linz University of Art. Her work has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships.
