Special exhibition in three languages: German – Italian – English

Spiny, ribbed, hairy, water-storing, fat, thick-fleshed, spherical, flat, columnar: Every one of these words can be used to describe succulents.

Among the best-known of these are cacti, agaves, aloes and houseleeks. They have all developed remarkable strategies for surviving long dry spells, heat or even cold.

Succu… what?” can be explored at various points throughout the Botanical Garden. The exhibition showcases the incredible diversity and fascinating survival strategies of succulents.
