Biotope balcony: ideas market to promote native biodiversity

Sunday, 23. April 2023 - Sunday, 23. April 2023

Whether backyards, balconies or allotment gardens: microhabitats are valuable for our native flora and fauna. At an ideas market, ecologically oriented initiatives and suppliers of balcony and garden greening present their projects and products, which provide impetus for a sustainably flourishing city.

Creating a green oasis is possible even in the middle of the city and even on the 6th floor. A native biotope can attract numerous birds, industrious wild bees as well as many other useful insects and thus proves that an area designed close to nature – even if it is only a few square meters – can become a biotope and thus contribute to the preservation of biodiversity. The ideas market offers practical tips, from insect nesting aids to green roofs.
