Iris and Päonia | Fairy tale evening for adults | May 19

Friday, 19. May 2023 - Friday, 19. May 2023

It sounds like an oriental criminal case: By envy and jealousy, a murder occurs. But what does a beguiling fragrance to do with that?

Once upon a time the famous singer Bulbul lived at the court of the Caliph in the city of Samarkand. He was known far and wide for his melodious voice and his wise lyrics. He sunned himself in praise and honour. One day a young bard arrived in the city, who won the Caliph’s favour with his songs. Envy and revenge poisoned the heart of the singer Bulbul. He devised a cunning plan and killed in cold blood on a journey the talented young man. Yet a beguiling fragrance should betray his cruel deed.

To find out how this story continues, and hear several others, listen to the storyteller Claudia Schleich in the enchanting iris garden (in case of rain, in the green hall).

Listen, in the blissful month of May, in the midst of blossoming irises and peonies, to the stories and musical interludes.
